Packaging & sustainability – how do they go together? Of course, everyone thinks of waste first. But how does a litre of milk do without a carton in the fridge? Can you always buy fresh food every day and if not, does unpackaged meat really get healthier and better with age? Have you ever stored a sterile plaster open to the air for weeks and wondered about germs?
Packaging and sustainability therefore go very well together, because it keeps food fresh and products hygienically clean. Major studies show that they make a major contribution to conserving resources. The question must therefore be: what kind and how much packaging is needed for more sustainability? Prepress is also making a contribution here, with technologies for printing on renewable raw materials and reducing the amount of ink used. Our gravure printing forms and elastomer flexographic printing forms are also recyclable.
